## Reflection: Naming numbers to one million - Section 2: Concept development

As seen in my video, I'm slowing down.

My students were not able to work on the independent practice portion I had planned for this lesson. This independent practice work is really important as they continue to refine their thinking about different number name and different number forms. I value the independent practice, so I have made an instructional decision that a large portion of tomorrow will be spend doing just that.  Students will finish the independent practice work they started today. We will then discuss it.  I am currently thinking about a game that will allow students more time to conceptualize ten times more and ten times less as well as naming numbers to one million.  I have my work cut out for me tonight! :)
