Reflection: Connection to Prior Knowledge Radian Measure Day 1 of 2 - Section 2: Investigation


As students were working on this activity I heard the students discussing how the angles were connected.  They were using reference angles in saying I can add 180 and 45 to get 225. The students are conceptually understanding ideas that will be discussed and formalized in another lesson. 

I plan to use the student work to help with the topics in the next lesson.

Big Idea: By finding the ratio of arc length to radius, students will understand that radian measure is a real number.
