Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Ou ow - Section 3: Partner Work

 

When I analyze student work I see that there are some words that they do not understand with long o. Like, wow should be in the ou/ow column. I make a special point to create a list of students that still need work on this and put them in a station or intervention group to target this skill. Its like diagnose and prescribe to get all of the students confident in all of the phonics skills. Really they just need a ton of expose to words and reading.
