## Reflection: Checks for Understanding What's an Ounce? - Section 5: Closing

The majority of students did quite well on the exit slip. Here's an example of a student who is Near Proficient.jpg. He understands that the weight of a pencil would be measured using ounces and not pounds. I marked the football helmet wrong as it could be weighed with ounces whereas an airplane probably wouldn't ever be weighed with ounces. Here's a student who is Proficient.jpg. She understands the relative size of an ounce and an object that could reasonably be weighed using ounces as well as an object that would not reasonably be weighed using ounces.
