Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Character Web - Section 3: Partner Work



The student work is from different versions of The Three Little Pigs.  They enjoy this literature because it adds something new to something familiar.  The student work shows how I had to differentiate.  I write in a highlighter for one student to trace.  Others write in complete sentences. Some of my students are just making statements.  I needed to seat the student that does not write beside the best writer for modeling purposes in the future.  If I seated the student that does not write independently beside the best writer I might not have to use the highlighter for tracing.  I know this student can write from a model, so thinking ahead of how peers can support each other would have made this lesson better.
