Reflection: Intervention and Extension Two-Digit by Two-Digit Multiplication - Section 3: Warm Up

 

I was happy to see that in this warm up, all students chose not to use the dot side of their whiteboard and instead used the plain white side.  This means that my students are able to think more abstractly when using the area model and that they don't need to draw an rectangle to scale.  This is one step towards using more numeric methods.
