Reflection: Transitions Two-Digit by Two-Digit Multiplication - Section 2: Number Hook - Magic Trick


My students love dice tricks because it's something so visual.  Number tricks are great, but there is always something about cards and dice that add extra engagement simply because it's something tangible that they can see. 

Many students are starting to figure out key aspects to this trick.  Some students think that I've memorized all the sides of the dice and can even list opposite sides of the dice, just like I can.  What they are still missing is how this information allows me to carry out this trick. They are very close, and I believe many students will understand how this trick can be done very soon.
