Reflection: Staircase of Complexity Are You Afraid of Anything 2/4 - Section 2: Lesson

In this lesson I am moving the students to think about how they feel about something, and putting it down on paper.  Today's lesson is a prewriting lesson.  We used speaking skills and will draw our favorite part of the story. I love to use the thinking maps and partner sharing.  There is great benefit for my ELLs to have multiple opportunities to talk in English and to get up and do things physically.  These activities help with student engagement and comprehension.
