Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Inscribed and Circumscribed Circles - Section 2: Freestyle Construction

After teaching this lesson, I realized that I should have done a better job of talking students about the challenges they experienced trying to inscribe and circumscribe circles with respect to a triangle. I knew that I wanted students to come to the realization that they needed a systematic method for locating the centers of the circles, but I didn't go around to see if students were actually thinking of it in this way. If I had gone around, I would have been able to identify the students who were not getting it and try a different way to get them to realize that a center exists and they haven't found it yet.
