Reflection: Intervention and Extension Quadratics Portfolio Day 2 of 3 - Section 2: Investigation

Students who need help chunking assignments in order to work to completion will find the portfolio checklist to be useful.  I often help them pull out and organize their work, and create a timeline for them to complete the portfolio.  There are many ways to extend the math portfolio for students who are ready to do more.  I sometimes  ask them to include more work, answer essential questions about the work, tie different concepts together, or present their portfolio to a panel in a symposium-like format. This year, I have added a digital piece to the portfolio and ask students to create an educreations document where they demonstrate some work by narrating their problem solving process.
