Reflection: High Quality Task Let's Explore Plant Parts - Section 2: Engage:

 

I am always working to make the work we do in the classroom high quality.  I ask myself,  "Is this relevant? Is it rigorous? Is it purposeful and meaningful to my students? Do they care about the work we are doing?" These questions drive the work in our classroom. In this video I share one strategy for making this a high quality task.

Objective: SWBAT research and identify the different parts of plants in their environment.

Big Idea: Leaves, stems and flowers! In this lesson my students research different plant parts and then go outside and play "I Spy!"
