Reflection: Real World Applications Motorized Toy Project - Preparing the Pitch (Lesson 9) - Section 3: Students in Action

The video pitch for the motorized toy is an important artifact of student learning. They are sharing their research and development of the product with an audience. Just like toy developers would do in a real life scenario where they too are pitching a new product or toy for production.

The students really make a connection here. They leave this project with a good understanding of the engineering design process and the tasks needed to bring the product to market.

By creating the pitch student design teams are defining the engineering design process in their own words with a real product.
