Reflection: Parent Communication The Life Cycle of a Plant - Section 2: Engage

 

For the sake of variety and money, I will ask parents to send in a fruits or vegetables  next time.  I will send home a list of choices and ask them to each send in two.  The note will explain the purpose of the material request but also ask that they not tell the students what is going on.

Objective: SWBAT describe how a bean seed can go from a seed to producing a plant and eventually a new seed.

Big Idea: Today students will describe how a bean seed can grow into a plant that will produce a new bean with seeds inside and learn that it is a continuous cycle.
