Reflection: Student Self-Assessment Solids - Section 5: Evaluate

In the EVALUATE sample, the difference between liquid and solids is sketched.  The student is asked to show their understanding of a previous concept (liquid) in comparison to a new concept from this lesson (solid).  Having students compare and contrast two concepts is a very effective way to assess their knowledge of the concept. It will be obvious if a student does not understand either the current or previous concept.
