Reflection: Grappling with Complexity Plant Part Books - Section 2: Engage

 

As students were playing, I noticed that they were not reading the cards out-loud as they flipped them over.  I stopped the whole group to remind them to read each card each time.  I want students to read them to allow their partner to hear the function of the parts and to allow for repetition of functions being read.

Objective: SWBAT create a book that illustrates and describes the function of the root, stem, leaf, and flower.

Big Idea: Today students will work in teams to describe the function of 4 different plant parts.
