Reflection: Student Led Inquiry Classroom Caves - Section 3: Explore

As the students are working on this task, there is a great opportunity to ask students to make predictions about what they think they might observe.  I want to continue to emphasize the steps of the scientific process.  I have included three videos of the students making prediction and explaining what they saw.

1. What did they see with out light

2. What did you see with out flashlight

3. What did you see with a flashlight

Unit 4: Sound and Light Waves
Lesson 19 of 20

Objective: SWBAT make observations to construct an evidence-based account that objects in darkness can be seen only when illuminated.

Big Idea: Today's activity gives students a chance to use science to refine their understanding of light and sight. Students learn that light allows us to see.
