Reflection: Unit Exams Specialized Stuctures of a Plant: Unit Assessment - Section 2: The Assessment

This StoryKit about the Venus Flytrap was one of many that student's chose to add to their test. Some chose to create a presentation using the photos they had taken from their investigation and then apply what they had learned in the investigation to show understanding that the fly trap had specialized structures that helped it survive. Some students chose to use the plant they studied in the forest. This option gave students a chance to personalize their own exam which demonstrates an example of high quality expectations of students and a level of accountability and ownership that compliment NGSS beautifully.
