Reflection: Performance Tasks It's All in the Disguise - Section 5: Elaborate

While this is not really a formative or summative assessment, I find that it is extremely telling.  And I am thrilled with the level of work that I see coming from the children. They are so engaged and excited to write.  The classroom is incredibly quiet and not one student stops to ask me a question. They attack the writing and documenting as professionals.

It is quite exciting to see.  As I wander throughout the room, reading over shoulders the writing, I am astounded at the higher level thinking that begins to come through in their writing.  All the lessons from earlier are shining in their work.  Justification, analogies, details in writing and science connections.  I am beginning to see the growth.  I could not ask for a better assessment of their work.
