Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Analyzing the Designs: Pros vs Cons - Section 4: Evaluate


Most groups analyzed their posters accurately (poster design B and evaluation B) and I made my  observations as I walked around the room.  I did notice one group (student work) that listed the equipment they like on the playground under the pros section. I think they were unclear on what they should write in. So, I ask them why they wrote all those things. They said they liked the equipment which goes with what they circled:super fun. I think they were not sure or just did not have any more ideas for that section. I could have listed some more pros that were not on the sheet. I think maybe a word wall or list of other pros might have helped. My list might include: not expensive, low maintenance, and  safe.
