## Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Factoring Binomials - Section 3: Guided Practice

Finding that balance between providing enough problems for practice but not too many for time constraints, and busy work.  I think to really provide students with enough practice for students to learn by repeated reasoning (MP8) that a few more binomial expressions need to be added that are Prime, and use both Greatest Common Factor and Difference of Squares to this lesson.

Here are some Additional Binomial Expressions that may be added on the board as an extension, as students are completing the Guided Practice.  All students may not get to the additional expressions, but they could also be used as an introduction into factoring for the next lesson.  The expressions could be used to show that finding the Greatest Common Factor is the first step before applying other factoring methods.
