Reflection: Standards Alignment Cool Body Coverings! - Section 3: Explore:

A Framework for K-12 Science Education states:

"Mathematics enables ideas to be expressed in a precise form and enables the identification of new ideas about the physical world."

In this lesson my students use thermometers to measure temperatures and graph their data.  They must be able to recognize numbers to 100, skip count, graph and read thermometers. These mathematical skills allow my students to observe, organize and communicate their data.
