Reflection: Discourse and Questioning Capstone Project Presentation - Section 2: Engage

I have students work individually to develop questions as a way to help them think about the expectations of the project.  By writing the questions in their journals, the students are able to refer back to them and feel more confident about asking questions in class.  Having the list to refer back to also helps to reduce the number of off task questions.  Discussing the questions as a class ahead of time also helps the students feel more comfortable when they are asked questions because they know their classmates are not "picking on them" and helps them prepare to answer the questions.
