Before I could even pass out the story boards, students were already working out their skits. Posting the criteria and was enough for them to work out their skit. The kiddos referred to their graphic organizer which seemed to work as their story board. Instead I made the story board available for groups who wanted to use it.

I used our class story time after lunch for groups to present their skits.

Objective: SWBAT diagram and explain how changes in temperature affect states of matter.

Big Idea: Students learn how matter changes depending on the removal or addition of heat and develop academic vocabulary associated with heat loss or gain.
