Reflection: Student Ownership Vertebrate Classification Review - Section 3: Guided practice/ Explore

 

Using a rubric helped guide my students when completing the foldable. They were able to self-assess and  check their own progress as they completed their work. My students stopped and went through the rubric as if it were a checklist. I know that this made them take more care and more focused on the quality of their work.

Big Idea: Similarities and differences in patterns can be used to sort and classify vertebrate animals.
