Reflection: Real World Applications Shaking All Around-Earthquakes - Section 4: Explain

When the groups were creating their earthquake structure, I noticed that two of the groups were having a difficult time creating their structure. They understood that they needed braces and tapered shapes in their design. However, it was a challenge for them to build a complex, sturdy structure that would hold up. As a result, the two groups decided to create a structure with less features. Before the groups made improvements, I showed the groups again how to create a complex structure. Also, I  gave the groups more marshmallows because the marshmallows began to melt because the room was getting hot along with heat from the students' hands.
