Reflection: Quizzes Predictions: What do you see? Prove it - Section 2: Mini-Lesson

When I created the Predictions Guide, I wanted it to resemble work that they would do during reading assessments. Our district uses the Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA) by Joetta Beaver, The Developmental Reading Assessment–Second Edition(DRA2), by J. M. Beaver and M. A. Carter, Pearson Publishing, 2010. On some levels of the DRA, students need to answer the question, “What are three things you think might happen in the rest of this story. I used the same language on the Guide so that students would have exposure to that question and get used to answering it. This way, they can perform at their best on the assessment.
