Reflection: Flexibility Kazoos For You - Section 3: Explore

 

Once the students create their Kazoos, I recommend that they are given a couple of minutes to just explore/blow into them.  By doing this, it allows them to try them and then they can focus on completing the task with them.  Otherwise, their natural curiosity will trump the focus and goals of this lesson.

Objective: SWBAT explain how vibrations create sound waves that travel through the air to the ear by making a kazoo.

Big Idea: The students will make a kazoo and experiment with the different sounds that they can get the kazoo to make.
