Reflection: Lesson Planning Could Melting Ice Release a Zombie Virus? - Section 2: Activity

There are numerous ways to deepen this lesson depending on time available.  One possibility is to build upon the idea of a zombie virus to discuss characteristics of life, what a virus actually is and how it works in the body, how humans could (accidentally or purposefully) create a deadly virus, bioethics, bio-weapons and warfare...the possibilities are really endless depending on the ability, age and interest of you and your students.
