Reflection: Pre-Tests Pre-Assessment - Section 1: RAP - Review and Preview

I offer three different methods to try to get at the learning strengths of children. Some students like to pour out all the information that they have onto the page. Other children like to organize their thoughts coherently into a K-W-L chart. Still others like to answer questions as it helps to anchor their thoughts.

In addition, these different types of pre-assessments also scaffold students from nothing, to structured questions. These options may help you meet the learning needs of advanced and struggling learners while getting at their prior knowledge. This information is invaluable for planning.
