Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Day Two: The Impact of Symbols in "The Medicine Bag" - Section 1: Warm-Up: Interpreting Symbols

Many teachers may choose to start this lesson a little differently than I did today. I want students to relate personally to symbols and how associations and experiences of individuals impact their understandings of things in the world. Starting the activity individually then collaboratively allows students to see how their perspectives of things are similar or different than others interpretation. From this talk, share outs provide other perspectives and outlooks about the same topics in different fashions.
