Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Gummy Bears, Worms, and Laser Pointers - Section 3: Explore

So, the red light is going through the green gummy: red is going through green. Now, light is usually absorbed by the other colors. It should pass through the same color, but not pass through different colors. But, the gummy bears I have are almost clear.  Some light does pass through and it is red. I had to explain this to the class. i just said, "The green gummy is not absorbing all of the light. Some red light is able to pass through. I think it is because the gummy is almost clear and green." I think if you could find a gummy or maybe green candy with more green in it them the gummy might absorb all of the light.
