Reflection: Performance Tasks Student Designed Land and Water Experiment: Day Two - Section 3: Conclusion Writing


The process I use for teaching conclusion writing is aligned with the rubric used to assess student work on our state assessment. The state assessment requires that students state their findings, support their conclusion with the high and low data points, and use comparative language. I use this conclusion writing method in all science units, but in this lesson, this was the first time my students wrote a conclusion without any teacher support. Most of my students were successful in using data to support their findings.
