Reflection: Joy Is My Soil Wiggling?!? - Section 3: Observation

Sometimes, you just never know what will happen in a first grade classroom. Today was one of those days, especially with an observation of worms. As much as you want to control the situation, it just does not happen! However, I caught the funniest thing - one of my students really believed he saw the worm pooping! This was, of course, after we had a 'super mature' conversation about how the worm poop helps the soil because it puts nutrients in the soil, etc. Listen to my super brilliant first graders!

He pooped! Student Observation at its BEST!
