Reflection: Student Communication Be an Expert on Saving our Resources - Section 2: Engage

 

Using the flashcards was an effective strategy to encourage my students to talk.  This strategy helped me to comprehend what students learned about the following Earth Resources: air,water, soil, and rocks. The students were very informative and knowledgeable. They understood what the Earth Resources were used for, how they could be destroyed, and saved. 

Also, I had the "Stand and Deliver" strategy. The students have to stand up and provide an answer to a provided question. This boosted the students' self esteem and confidence as they used complete sentences to answer. This helped with language development as well.
