Reflection: Checks for Understanding It's All in the Media....Penguins are Everywhere!! - Section 5: Evaluate

 

I really wanted to know if the children would be able to gather enough information to explain how penguins have adapted to survive in the Antarctic. I was was thrilled when I more than half of the children could explain in some format a type of adaptation.  Of course, their explanations had huge variations dependent on their backgrounds.  However, they were able to pull in so much of the language he read in documents or heard in the video clips.
