Reflection: Classroom Setup Build a Paper Tower Challenge (Part 1) Defining, Researching and Getting the Specs - Section 1: Teacher Notes

 

 In my classroom I mounted each step of the engineering process on scrapbook paper and hung them in my room for reference (see photo).  The children can easily look up at them when they need to refer to them.

Objective: SWBAT use the engineering design to aid them in designing a newspaper tower.

Big Idea: Engineering can be so much fun! We can follow the engineer design process to build a tower by defining the problem, researching and getting the specs.
