Reflection: Flexibility Testing Attraction Knowledge - Section 3: Explore

 

As I started going over the task, I realized that the students were excited to test the objects and might forget to make a prediction before testing.  So, I asked them to make all of their predictions first and then they could grab a magnet and start testing.

I found that this pushed the students to spend more time with their predictions and some even went over an explored the materials before predicting.

Unit 3: Magnets
Lesson 3 of 10

Objective: Based on previous learning, SWBAT make accurate predictions about whether a variety of objects will be attracted to a magnet or not.

Big Idea: Application of knowledge is the focus today. Students will work independently to make predictions about items' ability to attract a magnet.
