Reflection: Self-Graded Rubrics Do You Believe in Magic? - Section 6: Evaluate

During this unit, I introduce a scoring rubric for science journal entries.  I want the students to understand that their are certain expectations that they will be held to when they are creating an entry.

I am using this rubric because it allows the students to score themselves and it allows me to give them a score for the same entry.  This way they can see how the two scores compare.

I take time to introduce the rubric and to make sure that the students understand the criteria and who to score themselves.
