Reflection: Grappling with Complexity Taking Notes to Review - Section 2: Movie and Notes

I have students write and create their own graphic organizer instead of a pre-made worksheet. I want to try to give students a mechanism for taking notes when all they have available is a piece of paper. As they move to middle school, they might need to take notes on a video and a graphic organizer will not be available to them. This break down allows students to take meaningful notes and adapt to other lessons.

Taking Notes to Review

Unit 3: Magnets, Energy and Assessment
Lesson 7 of 9

Objective: SWBAT write notes on a science video in order to review what they have learned and make further connections.

Big Idea: Within our new state assessment, students are asked to watch a video and answer questions related to what they saw and heard. Students need to practice this skill and review of material is a good place to start.
