Reflection: Lesson Planning Evolution and Adaptation - Section 1: Introduction


Sometimes, when I really want students to remember what they have read, I change the last column (or add a column) to "picture summary" and have students draw a picture that goes along with their summary of what they learned.  I find the act of drawing pictures incredibly beneficial to aiding students in remembering information long term.

Objective: SWBAT identify the adaptations that have allowed humans and other "everyday organisms" to survive.

Big Idea: Students learn about Darwin so they can look at the organisms that surround them everyday with a new lens.
