Reflection: Student Feedback Examples of Change - Section 4: Wrap Up

 

The students did really well with this experiment. Students immediately grasped the concept of sorting the objects that they selected by the different processes that were used. I omitted the cement card from the lesson because there was not a lot of cement in the classroom, however they were able to find many objects made from wood, glass, and metal. Students identified objects that I had not even thought of.

Objective: Students will be able to cite examples of changes that heating and cooling processes have on the observable properties of materials used to create products.

Big Idea: Students will compare different objects made of the same material.
