Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Epicenter and Waves - Section 2: Plate Tectonics

 

When we use the iPads we have specific rules to follow. I have assigned an iPad to each student by numbering the iPads. By doing so I can check work that is on them and also monitor how they are using them. This helps keep the students accountable, but also allows them to work and keep work on it for future use.

Objective: SWBAT create and analyze the energy released and its effect outward from an earthquake.

Big Idea: The epicenter and waves that follow are interesting to students. The energy released and transferred can help students understand this concept.
