Reflection: Accountability Biodiversity Big Ideas - Section 4: Wrap-Up

Using the "Barrel of Monkeys" was more fun that a barrel of monkeys!  It  worked like a charm!  In the past, I have had some children who let others dominate the conversation, as they sit back and do not contribute.  Using the "Barrel of Monkeys" made sure that everyone was involved and had an input into the conversation.  It also encouraged involvement since everyone was eager to put in their one monkey token telling of their opinion, and then the other monkey token for tagging onto someone else's comments.  It made them accountable to listen to others as well.  I will definitely use it again to encourage accountable talk.
