Reflection: Student Feedback Shadows on the Move - Section 4: Evaluate


During the investigation, the students completed the investigation successfully. They understood that the sun effected how the shadow form. If the sun (flashlight) was high, the shadow would be short. If the sun (flashlight) was low, the shadow would be long.

In evaluating the exit tickets, the students had a difficult time drawing the shadow in the correct place. Some of the students did not draw the shadow on the ground. They drew the shadows standing up. I reviewed the different exit tickets with the students to help them understand where the shadows should be located and time of day.
