## Reflection: Lesson Planning Describing Ratios - Section 2: Intro to New Material

I do not talk about using simplest terms with ratios during the Intro to New Material.  This topic will come up during independent practice, and I want students to think through the process on their own.  We explicitly talk about it during our conversation after the independent work time (and in other lessons in this unit).  This lesson is a fairly simple lesson (but one that is important, as it sets students up for success with this unit); so having something to grapple with and think about is good!
