Reflection: Intervention and Extension The 6 Kingdoms of Life: The Plant Kingdom - Section 3: Explore

Students were more successful today because I created the Plant Kingdom Poster with students and provided students with background information before they began reading a complex text.

One of the reasons one text is more complex than another is vocabulary. By providing students with prior knowledge before reading today's text, students were able to continually reflect upon the Plant Kingdom Poster when the text didn't make sense.

This is one of the best ways to expose students to new higher-level vocabulary and high-level texts!
