Reflection: Intrinsic Motivation Marvelous Marbles Moving - Section 4: Elaborate

 

This was such a fun lesson!  My students left school energized and so excited about science. Creating an environment in my classroom in which students enjoy learning by solving problems is something I strive to do each day.  It can be difficult to create authentic, content driven lessons that allow students to "DO" science rather than simply "READ" about science.

Big Idea: In this lesson, students use cardboard tubes to build marble roller coasters.
