Reflection: Rigor Heat, Temperature and Conduction - Section 4: Station 2

I try to avoid the cookie-cutter approach to lab activities by giving students the opportunity to develop their own investigations.  Sure, this may take more time but your students will become more independent overtime, allowing you to facilitate learning opportunities that delve deeper into conceptual understanding.

Heat, Temperature and Conduction

Unit 7: Molecules
Lesson 1 of 9

Objective: SWBAT: Predict, record and explain the role that conduction has on mattter

Big Idea: Energy and matter are so closely related that we often have a difficulty distinguishing the two. This lesson helps students experience heat transfer so that they can explain how it affects matter and molecular motion.
