Reflection: Modeling Comparing Speeds - Section 4: Wrap Up

 

After teaching this lesson, the students were very eager to know what they would be learning next. Allowing students to brainstorm ideas together gave students the opportunity to share ideas and collaborate with one another. This strategy also helped groups come up with ideas faster which allowed them more time to experiment and test out their ideas. After the students tested their theories, they were given the opportunity to model and share ideas. This strategy allowed students to hear different ideas from one another while gaining different incite and other strategies.

Comparing Speeds

Objective: Students will be able to compare the speeds of objects that travel the same distance in different amounts of time.

Big Idea: In this lesson students will be able to make predictions and investigate ideas about an object's speed.
