Reflection: Staircase of Complexity Are They Alike or Different? Comparing Insects - Section 2: Day One

 

I am really happy that using the Process Grid offered the students the chance they needed to practice classifying all the characteristics of the three insects in a clean and systematic way.  GLAD strategies really suggest that this strategy of teaching is a strong way to help children learn to classify and categorize their learning and thinking. 

I think in this case, it was a great choice to help my students organize all their learning.  When you see the completed Venn Diagrams, it is clear they knew how to access the learning.
